Robert Bax
Solicitor / Principal
Robert Bax established the firm in 1982 and is proud to be a true general practitioner, practicing in all areas and supervising all legal services.
Consistent throughout his work is a commitment to direct advice and client value. Whatever the issue, Robert offers straight advice about problems, costs, time and likely outcomes – and is quick to suggest alternative approaches even if this means turning work away or lower legal fees. He uses his extensive networks to support clients and is a true trusted advisor.
As an experienced and skilled negotiator and advisor, Robert has a significant advantage in all matters having practiced as a general practitioner for more than 40 years.
Robert has a keen interest in rural matters and away from work loves fishing, amongst many other sports.

David Neuendorf
Solicitor
David Neuendorf has been with the firm since 2009 and practices in personal injury and litigation, with a particular focus on motor vehicle and work cover claims. A significant aspect of David’s practice also deals with private paying criminal law and weapons licencing matters, both applying and strengthening his skills as an advocate.
Brought up on a farm, he enjoys the practical hands-on side of his work: getting his hands dirty with court advocacy or representing clients in conference rather than desk-based office work. He is respected as a persuasive advocate and takes a no-nonsense approach to his matters
David’s broad understanding of different areas of law informs his strategic approach to his litigation work. He prides himself on asking the right questions, identifying risks and anticipating challenges through the disputes process.
Away from work, David has a keen interest in rugby league having played for both Norths Devils and Valleys Diehards, who we are a proud sponsor of. He also claims to be able to reverse park a heavy goods vehicle better than any solicitor in Brisbane.

Evette Jones

Hailing from Tasmania, Evette was admitted in 2004 and before joining Robert Bax & Associates worked at a leading Brisbane CBD practice for 12 years.
Evette is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law, a title given to lawyers who have demonstrated expertise in the field. She practices exclusively in family law, an area she is truly passionate about. She enjoys working on complex property matters and collaborative law matters, with a particular focus on cost effective advice, irrespective of a client’s financial capacity.
She has always been a team player and prides herself on her ability to assist clients to achieve the best possible outcome during what is often a difficult period in their lives.
Evette is an avid foodie and, whilst no one would describe her as a great cook, she enjoys hosting her friends and family members at home.

Alexandria Douglas

Alexandria Douglas has been with the firm since 2010. She focuses on Property and Commercial matters and Retirement Village contracts.
She has extensive experience in retail and commercial leasing, with a particular focus on representing landlords, and is highly regarded by local property agents for her valuable insights and effectiveness.
She also has a particular interest in commercial real estate acting for both sellers and buyers of commercial property. In business transactions, she has worked with a range of clients from large corporations to small businesses, adopting a thorough and practical approach regardless of the transaction size.
Alexandria is committed to assisting seniors, helping them navigate the complexities of retirement village contracts and ensuring they make informed decisions about their housing and lifestyle.
Away from work, Alexandria enjoys scuba diving, travel and spending time with her family.

Nicholas Daunt
Solicitor
Nick joined Robert Bax & Associates as a work experience clerk in 2011 and commenced as a trainee solicitor in 2016. He was admitted in 2017 following studies at University of Queensland.
Working on a range of commercial and estates matters, Nick has already gained extensive court experience including appearances at QCAT, the Magistrates Court, District Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. He enjoys working on multi-party, high value estate matters and away from work enjoys many sports including touch football, golf, cricket and horse racing.

Thomas Habel
Solicitor
Thomas was admitted as a solicitor in 2016 and has worked at the firm since 2023. Thomas practises primarily in Property and Commercial matters but has experience in off-the-plan Residential Conveyancing, Wills and Estates and Retirement Village Leasing.
Prior to joining the firm Thomas worked at the Queensland Land Titles Registry which provided him with a strong understanding of the legislation governing Property Law in Queensland.
Thomas has an eye for detail and identifying potential risks in commercial transactions. Thomas is always happy to have a discussion on the phone or in person to better understand his clients' goals.
Thomas was raised in the remote town of Nhulunbuy in the Northern Territory and moved to Brisbane to complete his secondary education at St Joseph’s Nudgee College.
Outside of the office Thomas enjoys social rowing and spending time at his in-law's property in the Lockyer Valley.

Guy Magee
Solicitor
Guy Magee joined us as a family lawyer in April 2024. Before becoming a lawyer, Guy was an electrician. He was admitted in 2022 after working at the Family Law Courts as a client service officer/court officer and later as a Legal Associate to a Justice of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 1). This gave him a solid understanding of case management, court etiquette, and family law principles.
In early 2023, Guy moved into private practice as a Family Lawyer. His friendly nature and diverse work background help him connect easily with clients and offer practical, tailored advice. He believes in mediation to resolve issues early and avoid expensive litigation. Guy aims to become a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner in the future.
Outside of work, Guy is a busy husband and dad to two young kids. He loves watching sports, especially cricket, rugby league, rugby union, and tennis.

Sophie Chalk
Conveyancing Clerk
Sophie joined the Firm in 2023, providing administrative support to the team's conveyancers. Her outstanding work ethic and attention to detail quickly caught the attention of her colleagues and, also, our Principal.
Sophie’s hard work led to her promotion to the role of Conveyancing Clerk in 2024. In this position, Sophie continued to excel, consistently learning, and delivering exceptional work, exceeding expectations.
Sophie has a genuine passion for client satisfaction. She takes pride in delivering a smooth and stress-free conveyancing service tailored to each client's individual needs. Her communication skills ensure clients always feel informed, confident and reassured throughout the conveyancing process.
